Breast Case #9540

33 year old female 5'4" weighing 120 pounds with right breast capsular contracture after previous bilateral breast augmentation underwent breast reconstruction and implant exchange. Approximately one year prior, the patient had undergone a bilateral breast augmentation with 240 cc smooth round saline implants performed through a periareolar (edge of nipple) incision. She then presented with right breast capsular contracture with concerns including distortion, firmness, and pain to the right breast. She underwent removal of part of the capsule on the right side with creation of a neosubpectoral plane and release of the capsule on the left side. The implants were removed and replaced with 300 cc smooth round saline implants placed in a dual plane (partially underneath the muscle).
