Breast Asymmetry / Breast Reconstruction case_9
Description:
22-year old female 5'2" and weighing 110 pounds with breast assymetry, tuberous breast deformity and underdevelopment of the breast underwent circumareolar "doughnut" breast lift of the right breast and bilateral breast augmentation. The breast tissue restrictions of the right breast were released and the tuberous breast deformity was treated. The breast was then expanded with a 213 cc smooth, round silicone gel implant placed in a dual plane (partially underneath the muscle). A circumareolar "doughnut" mastopexy was then performed. The left, underdeveloped breast was expanded using a 304 cc smooth, round, silicone gel implant placed in a dual plane (partially underneath the muscle) using a periareolar (edge of nipple) incision. The deformity was corrected, the breasts were enlarged and symmetry was achieved.
