During your FaceTite™ procedure, a tiny electrode is placed on the surface of your skin above the target area. Next, a tiny 1-2 millimeter incision is made and a specialized cannula is inserted beneath the skin. The innovative FaceTite™ machine delivers bipolar radio frequency energy to the treatment site using the electrode and cannula. Energy from the FaceTite machine results in the contraction of the initial layers of skin, as well as underlying tissues. Unlike past skin tightening techniques, FaceTite™ transmits bipolar energy that is carefully directed to the desired area, heating the site from the inside out and resulting in more precise treatment. FaceTite™ can also remove small amounts of excess fat, if necessary, to further enhance contours.

Anesthesia Types
FaceTite™ is a minimally invasive procedure and is usually performed under local anesthesia. If you are combining FaceTite™ treatment with other forms of facial rejuvenation, body contouring, or liposuction, then a different type of anesthesia may be recommended, depending on the specifics of your treatment.
Expectations
Your FaceTite procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis at our NYC plastic surgery offices. An anesthetic is administered in preparation for your FaceTite treatment. Dr. Levine will carefully place the FaceTite electrode above the skin before making a small 1-2 millimeter incision at the treatment area. The tiny radio frequency cannula is then inserted below the surface layer. RF energy is guided using the electrode and cannula to evenly firm the treatment site. The length of your FaceTite treatment will ultimately depend on the specifics of your procedure.
Post Procedure
There may be some mild bruising or swelling present after undergoing FaceTite™ treatment. These side effects should subside within a few days of your procedure and patients can be offered medication to help alleviate symptoms.
