Earlobe Repair (Earlobe Reduction)
Earlobe Repair (Earlobe Reduction)
Earlobe Reduction & Torn Earlobe Repair in NYC
It’s very common for pierced earlobes to become stretched or torn. Earlobe tears can occur when earrings are snagged on clothing or pulled accidentally. Earring holes may become enlarged or stretched over time as a result of genetics or stress from wearing heavy jewelry. In some cases, even though earlobes may be undamaged, you may have aesthetic concerns. Thanks to time, gravity, and genetics, many earlobes will gradually become enlarged, losing their natural shape and proportions. The size and shape of earlobes may also be affected by a previous facelift procedure. Whatever the cause, earlobe repair and earlobe reduction are simple procedures that can be performed quickly and easily in the office, using local anesthesia. In most cases the earlobe may be re-pierced as early as three months after the procedure, if desired.*
